Contest / ScholarshipAnti-Defamation League - Institute for Holocaust Education: Tribute to the Rescuers
Type:Essay
Description:Check the website for the hard deadline.

How the historical event you researched exemplifies moral courage, how this impacted the world, and most importantly, how it influences you today. This year there are two separate contests --- one for 9th and 10th graders and one for 11th and 12th graders.
The Rescuers, featured in the Educational Overview, are unique examples of courage and concern by their willingness to jeopardize their own lives to spare those of others. Moral values and beliefs united these remarkable citizens in their defiance of Hitler’s commands and decrees. Their courage can serve as a model of personal triumph over adversity and inspire others to act accordingly.
