I have a bright 8 year old who struggles with attention issues and other medical conditions. I chose this program because of its multi-sensory approach (audio, visual, and hands on). The animation is visually appealing and tends to keeps his attention. This program works well for someone like him who excels in math, but is not as good at reading.
I did not find it to be an out of the box program that suggests the number of lessons to do when. It will give you units to choose from such as geometry or multiplication and many more which will then give you lessons, quizes and games related to that unit. I like to flexibility, but I am not sure everyone will agree.
Overall it is a good product at a great value. I am anxious to check out Aha-Science and hope the Co-op will be offering it soon.” Marjorie T., Co-op Member |
Ah Math has been a creative and pedagogically sound choice for online learning. my child is an independent learner and wants to "figure out concepts on her own" -- the chapters on place value and multiplications have been especially intuitive. She loves the lily pad frog and the fraction green house. thank you for teaching her without her knowing it!” Tania C, Co-op Member |
I highly recommend AhaMath for elementary aged students. The program instructs and provides fun games and tests. I like that it teaches in a kid-friendly way, but is not too "entertaining" or distracting as some other software programs I've used. My son enjoys it very much and we hope to sign up for AhaScience too.” Michele F., Co-op Member |
My 3rd and 6th grade daughters used Aha Math, IXL Math, and Math Facts Fluency this year from the Co-op. BOTH of them have increased their test scores in the math department.
I was especially concerned with my 6th grader, as she used to struggle immensely in this subject. She has picked up her pace and is now doing math at above grade level performance.
I am very pleased with all 3 of these products!” Homeschool Mom - Ohio, Co-op Member |
My four years old just love it. The graphics are really good and it catch the children attention very easily. She love playing with it, no need to ask her to use it. Teaches good math concepts while playing with trains, at the zoo, at the aquarium, etc.” Minnie, Co-op Member |
I grew up hating math. It was anything but fun. So when I began homeschooling, I wanted to make sure my kids enjoyed math and had a positive attitude toward it. I was thrilled to discover Aha!Math. My kids LOVE it, and regularly tell me that math is fun AND they're learning! Thank you Aha!Math and thank you HSBC for again finding a quality program AND at a discount!” Carey - Toronto, Canada, Co-op Member |

Fantastic! i now have a 3 year old that's addicted to math, and a five yr old who doesn't fight me over math anymore. my 3 yr old stops her playing, if she sees me on the computer to beg me to do math. i can't say enough wonderful things about the diversity of the games -and i really like that i don't have to sit and watch it the whole time, it's corrects my daughters (without losing patience! lol). we love it. can't wait for aha science.” caesar, Co-op Member |
I had a difficult time keeping my 8-year old daughter interested in math. Aha not only keeps her interested, but she is learning faster and having fun!” Chelsie, Co-op Member |
