Is your favorite field trip missing from our database? Does our information need to be updated?
The Co-op will award 50 SmartPoints for every qualified submission (i.e., one that meets our requirements below) to our Educational Field Trips database.
Here are the requirements::
- You must be a Co-op member AND signed in to your account. We have no way to award SmartPoints to people who are not members.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you are signed in before you make your submission; otherwise we can't assign SmartPoints to you.
- The facility must be in the United States (state) or Canada (province). You CAN submit facilities for states or provinces other than your own.
- The facility must be NEW to us, i.e., not already in our database. Confirm first that your facility is NOT in our database. The easiest way to do this is to go back to the Field Trips page for your state or province and enter the zip or postal code for the facility. If the facility is in our database, it will show up in the resulting list.
- The facility must have a website. Most of them do, but we rely on their website for accurate and up-to-date information (hours, admission fees, etc.). We only accept submissions for facilities with websites!
- Submit ONLY educational facilities. The facility should have an educational mission, with classes, tours, or other activities of an educational (not religious or political) nature. NO TOURIST TRAPS! We realize this is subjective, which is why we reserve for ourselves the final determination as to whether a field trip is educational or not. The best way to get an idea of what we consider to be an educational field trip is simply to take a look at what we have in the database.
- Please provide as much information as you can about the facility in the form below. We will deduct 25 SmartPoints for incomplete listings.
- Please allow one week for us to review your submission and award your SmartPoints. If you don't get SmartPoints, please understand that it is either because (a) we already had the facility in our database, perhaps under a slightly different name, or (b) we do not judge the facility to be educational.
