Mysteries are fun - that's why so many people read them! What's more, a simple, fun mystery can be a great way to energize your student and kick off your daily lessons.

5 Minute Mysteries are short, challenging mysteries posted daily, Monday through Friday, to the 5 Minute Mystery website. Each day (M-F), you'll get a "tickler" reminder delivered to your inbox telling you about the new mystery. Click through, sign in, and put you amateur sleuth to work solving the daily mystery! There are diverse topics such as pets, history, geography, sports, murder with a range of difficulties, written at a sixth grade reading level.

All mysteries require reading and thinking that your student will want to do!

Make It Fun!

5 Minute Mystery makes it even more fun by turning it into a game. As your sleuth reads each daily mystery, she gets the chance to get points for finding each clue that makes the suspects either guilty or innocent as well as who did it. To get the best score, she must find all the clues as well as solve the mystery.

At the end of the day, when everyone has had the chance to solve the mystery, 5 Minute Mystery releases all the scores at once. Can’t do it every day? No problem, they rank highest number of points as well as highest percentage.

5 Minute Mystery gives your sleuth a chance to compare his/her mystery solving abilities with other students: both everyone else on the site as well as just the students in the Co-op's own group -- "Homeschool Heroes." (We'll tell you how to join our group when you purchase!)

They even have a forum/community section where you can chat with others about mysteries, clues, etc.
