It's everywhere- the power of suggestion-who hasn't bought the grocery item that wasn't on their list because there were samples and it tasted good or there was a nice end cap display so you popped the item in your cart. Mmm the scrumptios meal on the billboard so you stop by for an unplanned dinner.
It's advertising agencies and salesman's jobs to make you buy these items, but it's your job to buy only what you really want and need and to pay the best price for it. Try and take your time and purchase the product when you need it, not when someone else wants you to buy it.
