The average couple spends $120 on Valentine's Day. Here are a couple of ideas to reduce that number and still stay out of the dog house!

Shine all of your mates shoes. Don't forget to put a nice homemade card on the door to the closet!

Make your own homemeade spa in your bathroom. Lots of candles and smelly stuff will do. Oh and don't forget to offer childcare while she/he is at the "spa".

Detail his/her vehicle. Don't forget to add a valentine's themed air freshener when you're done.

Do all the laundry. And yes these means folding and putting it away too!

Burn your significant other a CD of you reading love poems or even singing a favorite love song.
