Summary:Save Energy Quickly by Changing Your Bulbs
Contributor:Sandra Jacobs
Savings:$30
Description:Replace all your incandescent lightbulbs with flourescent bulbs. Incandescent bulbs waste lots of energy in the form of heat, and they don't last as long as flourescent bulbs.

Replacing a 100-watt incandescent bulb with a 32-watt CFL can save $30 in energy costs over the life of the bulb.

Downside:

:
This isn't always the case. We have tried to do this, but we have had some that didn't last near as long as regular bulbs. It was very frustrating. They certainly didn't didn't pay for themselves.

Also, I have friends that I know who get migranes from flourescent bulbs. Which of course isn't worth the possible savings.
